What Does Our President Say, About ASIOA

I am pleased, honored, and humbled to be elected as the President of the Association of Scientists of Indian Origin in America. I sincerely thank all the members of ASIOA for this honor. ASIOA is a prestigious organization with a great history, and I will do my best to raise its banner high. For the next two years, my goal is to promote fellowship, enhance the membership, improve the communication within the members with regularly updated news and conduct our meetings/conferences with much enthusiasm...I know these are unprecedented times due to Covid-19 and this situation affects the most vulnerable amongst us, the early career scientists. Therefore, one of the major thrusts will be to focus on mentoring new and early career scientists (graduate, post-doc and junior scientists) to secure fellowships, grants, and jobs in academics and industry by inviting experts from NIH and the Pharma Industry to give career guidance and lectures. I strongly believe in collaboration, and I could not imagine achieving these goals without your support and encouragement.
